55g tank stock options

As far as dither fish go, I'm thinking sword tails if I go with firemouths. If i go with geos, ill go with rasboras or large terra. What do you guys think would go with salvini? Since I've never kept any before

I have some sword tails with two FM in a 20 gallon long at the moment. Everyone was telling me the swords would just get killed but the FMs just ignore them completely They can be beside each other and they don't care at all. I find FMs are way more docile then people think.

As for what to use with the Sals it's hard to say as they are actually pretty predatory. They would need to be bigger then a lot of tetras. Maybe Congos.. Though they are African.

Maybe Giant Danios? I'm not sure where they're from though.

Fire mouths and sword tails are naturally found living together and do make good tank mates. I was thinking buenos area tetra or hatchet fish even with the salvini? This is going to require some thinking on my part haha

Any other things you guys want to add? My tank as of right now has 4 corydoras haha, let me know if you have any other ideas:) also, thanks everyone that has given their input, I really appreciate your time!

If those are you're choices then Salvini's are the only choice. Rams are a waste, Firemouths and Geo's are too docile (boring) and some Dempsey's have potential to outgrow a 55. Salvini's are entertaining fish and very beautiful. There has got to be alot of other nice choices out there if you do your reasearch...might have to mail-order some but worth it to have something different,cool and interesting...???
