55g wet pet

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
oh ya oscars are cool but everyone has one, i love mine but something different would be cool.

get an electric blue jack dempsey. one of my all time favorite fish. they're much more brighter and colorful than a plain jd. won't get much bigger than 6 inches but you can keep 2 in that 55. would look a lot better than a rd or texas as well. btw, expect to pay 40 bucks or more for a 1 inch ebjd.

Oscars are common, but not boring by any stretch. They are owner responsive and very interactive with many color variations. Not that I am suggesting you get one, I just think that people who think that oscars are boring don't know a wet pet when they see one. For me, I would go female festae, Vieja Argentea, or the Mota idea.

had one for its full life. IMO too big for a 55. and boring without a mate of some sort.

I still say chocolate cichlid - they have the personality of an oscar with a different look to em' - really fun fish, a lot of people overlook them because of the coloring - but those of us who have owned one are pretty much hooked on them.

a nice big high quality $1000,flowerhorn...^^

My friend had two large flowerhorns for years and had no idea what they were because his dad bought them then I took him to an LFS and he saw the 1K price tag for one the same size as his and he went O_O. Apparently his dad was an "asian fish monger" (not trying to sound racist this is just what I hear ppl on MFK call them) because he kept them both in a divided 55G lol.

Get a RTM........
