  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Very nice, try and get more loaches though so they can be more active. How much did the tank setup cost you?

Well i still need substrate but the tank/filter/heater/hood/lights was $119, stand was $30, air pump/airstones $20, background $10. So like $180 and then the price of substrate

very nice my 60 gal dosnt have a stand maybe i should build one :) very nice build and stock try and grab a few more loaches tho

Good stuff bro. :clap

Interesting choice of background. With those decent sized round rocks you have there the scape is going to look real nice. Glad you finally got your tank.

Thanks for all the positive feedback and yea, hopefully it will look great! I will try to get some more crushed coral or sand tomorrow and finish it up

So this morning i decided to just do all crushed coral so i washed the 10lb bag that i got yesterday and put it in. It covered a surprising amount of area. If the LFS is open today (easter) i might swing by when my mother goes out shopping for food. I think i only need about 15lb more of the stuff. Here is some pictures of the progress so far. If i get enough of it i might slope it back to front to give the tank some depth.

Good choice with the crushed coral. It's color is going to match with the rock background and the rocks you collected and look real good.

Thanks, i got another 20lb bag of crushed coral and put it in the tank (after i washed it like 5 times) . Then i put in all the rocks and i am now filling it. I made a contraption to get water from the sink to the bucket. I then have to lug it up to the second floor and dump it in. It is quite a work out. No complaints thought! Here are the pics

Looking good. Maybe a day for it to clear up and your good to go. And with the rock scape going on African Cichlid would look very good definitely.
