A baby Oscar will be very interactive. But it will out grow tank in about 2-3 months.

I really don't agree with some of the serious fish suggestions. I would have a planted shrimp garden really jungle it out. Have you given any thought to an external? I think it would be a good idea.
Go with a single dwarf puffer. Small fish with big attitude. Plus it's funny when you hear em crunch food.
