You heard right. Arapaima grows fast. Since a 60 gallons tank is 15"-16" wide, your 4"-5" arapaima will grow to that size in 4-5 months. If you plan to get an arapaima, please also plan to upgrade your tank soon. However, there's another thing that you didn't hear. Arapaima is also very sensitive to water parameter at such size, so there's also a chance that you may not need to upgrade your tank after all ceewah;3006038; said:Hello everyone,
I just recently signed up for MFK to get tips from the "pros" and hoping to get some informative answers instead of getting flamed. My question is.. I recently got a 60 gallon tank and thinking of getting a 4-5" Arapaima. Can I even have an Arapaima on my 60 gallon? If so, how much time do I have until I have to upgrade to a bigger tank? I heard they grow fast.. Information would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
