60 Gallon Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My goldfish is actually decent size, he's the biggest in the tank right now. My algae fish is small, but he should grow to a decent size as well. The goby's are small so I know I'd have to move them. My tank is 60 gallon, 48x13x24.

I don't know anything about gobys so defer to twenty. If they get that small then I'd re-home them now. Keep the others fish. What exactly is the gold algae eater ? Common names kind of suck. Can you post a pic ?

Either way your good and if it doesn't work and someone gets eaten is there really anything wrong with that ?

The temperment of carnivores are greatly exaggerated. Herbivores are some of the nastiest fish you can keep btw

Go for it.

The length is good. Width is a little narrow but not to bad. It's not a standard 60 that's better then if it was.

+1

Eventually he'll have to upgrade but not for a while. At that point he'll either have the addiction and be overstocked and looked to upgrade waaaay sooner lol or will not be into polys

My main concern isn't the temperament of the fish, it's that he gets too big for my tank. I can buy a smaller tank for my office or something and re-home the gobys in there but I wasn't on planning on buying a bigger tank or anything for a while. The algae eater is a Gyrinocheilus aymonieri I believe.

If your not planning on eventually upgrading then it may be best for the endli to find it a more suitable home

Yeah I'm gonna talk to my LFS today. I'd love to keep him but I can't really fit or invest in a bigger tank for a while right now.

Prob best but keep in mind 120 gals that are 24" wide would be perfect for a group of larger growers.
