Just seeing if anyone seen these 60" Ikea stands before and if I center a 48"x15x24 uniquarium ontop should I be worried about the stand!
Looks really sturdy to me and has been holding the tank a couple years?

Here's a better photo of the stand! Wondering if I need a 60" tank to make this stand work? The furniture is not intended for fish tanks but sure looks more sturdy than those 200 dollar stands with a hollow center for the same tank.
Putting a 48" tank in the middle I have a little doubt.

Are there any weight restrictions for what goes on top for that IKEA furniture? That would be the first thing I would look at, and then calculate how much a full uniquarium would weigh.

Are the top and bottom pieces solid? If the bottom is a solid piece then this should work just fine. You have 3 verticle members that transfer the weight of the aquarium directly from the top to the bottom. It's not an ideal stand but should last until water saturation causes failure. If it's pressboard that is.

Has this piece of acrylic welded on the bottom hopefully that isn't going to be an issue. Any advice other than sell it or use as an outside tank?
Has tanks lasted for years with acrylic fixes like this?

Been searching but can't match up the stand yet. Now with the acrylic patch I'm thinking this tank should stay outside.

Yes really solid I mean thick pieces of wood top and bottom and the same thick wood corners. Most of my other stands are not this solid.

My concern would be the cam lock fasteners used to hold this together, not really meant to support an aquarium.

Are you sure the wood is solid wood and not compressed wood chips with a thin veneer on the outside?

I have one of the exact Ikea stands. I could trust it with a tank of the same length as the stand, not a shorter tank, but I would not quite be fully comfortable with it. Certainly not a 48" tank.
It is quite solid, but it is press-wood. The cam fasteners and dowels are a concern, but those wouldn't be challenged with a tank spanning the complete top, where most of the weight would be supported by the two ends. Again, I think it might do but I wouldn't do it.
