finally someone who understands that building these things isn't rocket science and that you don't need it to be bomb proof to hold water. I've been looking at buying those $200/2500 gallon swimming pools for an empty building I have on the back of my property, and those things are VERY minimally constructed and hold 2500gallons. Just some thin aluminum and some metal posts.

Very good job and nice layout. I love the corner idea!

I love the corner Idea too. absolutly great, im going to have to copy and modify on that setup one day.
Are you on a slab or did you add any reinforsments?
or did you just fill it up and hope the floor doesnt give in?

The pond is actually placed up on my second floor, I have the headers of the house addition holding up that specific area. Yes, totally did my research on the floor and walls surrounding. Trust me I understand everyones concern about placing a window in the pond as well... i am still nervous everyday I come home but the water pressure alone will not allow this glass to move.. plus its glued and taped over and over again....
As for cheap, well.. lets see the glass was 300, liner 200, filters 400, fake plants 150,waterfall, 200, real plants 150, tape and glue 100, wood 300, accessories 100 so yea cheap considering its not Sea World:-)
