nice to see when you put in the sand you said gravelcleaning would not be an issue.
I thought what a big layer of sand she's got...
Until i saw Bernard do his digging and i was stunned.
If there is any food left he'll find it.
Do the ripsaws act in the same way, like digging?

Bernard is like a high power reverse leaf blower. Nothing gets past him. The sand is spotless. The Two niger cats definitely sift the sand a lot, but not with the same intensity and excitement that Bernard does. He leave craters all over the sand. At first I thought it was going to be too much sand, but it quickly became obvious that I just made a great play ground for him.

Grazie. :)

Wow.

I didn't know the setup was only recently put up!

Looks GREAT!

Read only every other page and it still took me forever. lol

If you guys ever move... hit me up for that tank if its not going with you!

I must admit I was thinking about a tank that big but I got kind of a reality check.
for it will be a bit too much in the livingroom.......
But it's better to realise that after a thread like this, than after starting a project like this.
Great info and very helpfull in making up my mind.

It was great to randomly meet you the other night! That was fun to run into a fellow MFKer. Did you notice the look on the Petsmart girl's face just before she walked away! Priceless....

I hope we will be always be able to take it with us. These guys are in here for now, but I know my growing fire eels grabbed dibs on the tank when the big cats are out. ;)

Um, yeah. Not a tank for the living room unless you do some serious custom plumbing... When you overflow this puppy, all the neighbors know. In fact, I had one neighbor come by to make sure my tank hadn't broken. I had to explain to him that if it had, he would be certain of that. He was worried about 55 gallons... He has no idea how crazy it would be if the whole thing went!

Ive watched your youtube videos again and again and i cant believe you had all those cats in a 180!

Seriously! It was so cramped. I was trying for months to get this thing up due to one thing or another, and well you know how catfish grow... Its funny though. They still lay all over each other. Even my mother comment on the fact that they were just piling on each other, and couldn't figure out why they wouldn't spread out. I'm sure they'd like a little bit of hiding spots, but that's coming in a couple weeks. My calendar is packed.

nice looking cat and nice tank.. wish i had room =)

Wow, I am so jealous. That tank is turning more and more beautiful. Not to derail, but did you ever figure out what was going on with your Discus? Hope all is well and that things calm down for you soon. :)
