I would love to have some gravel or sand, but that would mean gravel vac with water changes and I dont think I have the time. Maybe i'll put some in there when my kid moves out and my wife passes on.
(my kid is 6 months, wife is 29 )

Even in a tank that size I assume it would be hard to breed the cichlids. It's been my experience that they won't try to breed with that many aggressive fish nearby.
