600g DIY plywood build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here is a big picture update. Picked up an arrowana and a bass, hopefully grabbing a stingray next week. Most of the fish are doing very well, however the datnoid is still hiding so I couldn't grab a good picture. Also managed to catch a few pictures of my two smallest altifrons fighting and trying to lip-lock.

Looking good, how big is the arowana and what kind of ray are you looking for. Got my 600 cycling hoping to add the 14" motoro ray and 20" arowana in the next 2 weeks

The ray is here! Big shoutout to @moosemj not only for an awesome ray but for being a huge help for me as a beginner ray keeper. Was a pretty long drive but getting to see his awesome collection of monster rays and some personal advise really made it worth while. The ray acclimated nicely and is still exploring his new place.

Thanks! It was actually quite a long drive and took me a little over 6 hours. Biggest advise would just be to drive slow and bring extra water just in case something happens. All I did was bring a cooler and an air pump and he did fine.

The tanks been running for over 6 months now so I figured it is about time for an update. So far so good on the plywood, no leaks, bowing, or any other issues. The only problem I have had so far is a bag of purigen ripping and leaking all over the tank. Took awhile to clean up, but otherwise everything is going exactly how it should be. Here are a bunch of pictures of the fish, I finally got them all on pellets so feeding them is very easy now. The ray is picking up a great pattern and the altifrons seem to gain more color everyday.IMG_7417.JPG IMG_7433.JPG IMG_7436.JPG IMG_7454.JPG IMG_7456.JPG IMG_7467.JPG IMG_7477.JPG IMG_7481.JPG IMG_7506.JPG IMG_7530.JPG IMG_7538.JPG

Glad to hear yours is doing good aswell. Once mine started hitting the pellets hard he started growing, I would say close to 10 inches now. I do like to watch him eat,and the bass also mows down some food.I think the led lights really add to his color and to the color of the rest of my fish.
