Picked it up at the manufacturer yesterday. Custom built by TruVu. Not sure on livestock yet, but the stand and hardware come first. I'm going to build the stand myself. Are 2x4's suitable or should I go with 2x6? I've built stands before but this will be my largest.

Filtration for now is 2 aquaclear 110's, 2 XL sponge filters, and a large sunsun canister. Probably a fx6 when I reach that point. Probably won't be heavily stocked initially.

I'll share my progress as I build.

You can use 2x4 , it has more to do with how the stands built then the woods demensions .

How about for stock you do anything but a central /South American theme

That’s an awesome size, perfect for catfish. What are ya plans for stocking?

Catfish is what I want to primarily focus on. I want some active cats. Not sure which yet. Eclipse, lima shovelnose, big synodontis, big pleco, possibly a vulture. Yes I was thinking of some CA/ SA cichlids too, but more peaceful varieties. Severums, chocolate, red terror, oscar.

Possibly some bichir too or fire eel.

I might get in trouble because the wife wants Colorful "pretty" fish.

My other thought was an African setup, however I think id go broke trying to stock it.

I'll probably put some anubias plants in there too.

Firstly, that tank is mint! Very nice! 30” wide is a wonderful footprint for earth eaters IMO.

A sand, heavy wood, anubas, dark water earth eater group/rotkeil severum pair would be amazing to watch while catfish hide. Smaller species of geos like tapajo are super colorful, cheap, fun to watch and zero maintenance sand. Happy wife/epic tank..

These was my last tapajo group to give an example of a smaller geophagus.

Nice tank, Yas I'm thinking geos as well, I saw willimeri? I liked those.

The other thing I need to look at are lights.

Winemilleri grow large and are stunning. Will be an amazing tank for sure. You’ll love that footprint.

That’s sweet man! I can’t wait to see it up and running... btw it’s Sean from murky water predators. Keep the updates coming and come down to the store soon!
