Come on don't you admire that i listened to you guys this time. Please give some cool suggestions maybe a pair of small cichlids. It would be nice i have never bread fish.

First off I do admire your desire to take the advice offered here. I will admit that I hate when people post here and don't at least think about the answers they get or just take the advice they want to here. So for that I hope you get the help you are looking for.

However I must say you need to give us a little more. You need to do some of the work your self and research a little on what you are looking for. Then after that work out a few choices and ask us our opinions and go from there. It is hard to just tell people what fish to keep without at least first having them narrow it down a little. Give us a list of a few that you are interested in and are available to you. I would hate to recommend a cichlid you have never heard of or can't find in your area.

Lastly to clarify something are you for sure saying you are keeping the two BP's in this tank? Cause if so I would say that would greatly limit your stock list to almost nothing else. If you want to go with breeding cichlids for the first time, at the risk of being sounding cliche, I would do convicts. They are extremely easy to get a hold of, cheap, and breed like crazy. Plus they are fun with great personality. Otherwise there is always HRP's, sajica, firemouths, and rainbows.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

i was going to get a bunch of 3-6 inch cichlids with the blood parrot will this work
1xfemale convict , possibly pink
1xfiremouth
2xram

and the 2 blood parrots it should look good. Tell me if it is a good stock it should look great. I said female convict NOT male

Oscaroo, this is an improvement. :)

I would not do the rams. They are great fish but could get stressed out with the possible aggression of the other fish. Just too little too fit in, in my opinion.

So if you have a firemouth (I would also try for a female with this as well), a female con and your two BPs it could work. It will greatly depend on the fish's 'personality' if you will. Mostly I would say it will depend on your BP's as from what I have seen on these forums they can vary greatly when it comes to aggression level. This will be a little snug but it could work. We will say what others think. Good luck.

i think the new stock would be good. I would say you could add senegal bichir. Although not a cihclid you will hav elots of fun watching them. Another option would be rainbow cichlids..

how did the upside down catfish stress the pearsi to the point of death i thought you said you pulled him out and moved him to another tank in a different thread that you had on the pearsi?.. my friend im sorry but from the past threads that i have seen your posts on i would say first make sure you have the fish keeping 101 down pact and then move on from there. Maybe start off with ONE pair of CONVICTS or such and then switch up your stock from there. If you cant manage aggression between a catfish and a pearsi how are you going to handle aggression between 3-5 different fish if all hell starts letting loose? If you indeed did not move out the catfish when you saw him stressing the pearsi then either go with a single wet pet or maybe try less aggressive fish or more peaceful cichlids. Im not trying to sound mean i would just hate to see more fish die for no other reason then being uninformed and not doing your homework before hand. You had a beautiful Pearsi then IMO could have been saved in the hands of someone knowledgable.

and also BP's can get 8-10 inches if im not mistaken and the tank would be plenty stuffed with just the two of them in there. At the most i would say you could add 1 more medium-small fish such as a convict. I wouldn't put rams with cons or BP's either way as i feel they would be harrassed to death.
