good luck with what you do. if you go with rainbows good for you they are a beautiful fish. Keep it simple it will keep you outta trouble

The bp's get good size but that isnt the point but i have seen some monster bp. They create alot of waste and the more fish you add to worse your water quality will be.

I should have said you want to keep your bio-load low, as AQUAMONSTER was pointing out. A light bio-load will lead to heailther fish with less maintainance and a cleaner environment. I don't have anything else to add except to wish you luck.

my mom woulld go crazy if i sold them she loves them i think they are kinda cute to and they have a great personality i wold never give them away or sell them

lol moms hey she didnt like the idea of me getting into fish but then as soon as i get them all of a sudden she is in love and would kill me if any happens to them (even though stuff has happened and i sccidentally killed her favorite one :(

Oscaroo the point im trying to make is that if you cant manage aggro between ONE catfish and ONE pearsi then maybe its time to do some more homework before jumping into several aggressive fish. Also your story keeps changing because as previously mentioned in other threads by yourself you state that you removed the Asian upside down catfish out of the pearsi's tank because he was getting stressed out. If you did do this then there would be no way that your catfish could have stressed the pearsi to death. If you didnt remove the catfish then like i said its time to drop the stocking list and do some more research. BTW female firemouths and female cons are plenty aggressive. Some can be even more aggressive then their male counterparts it really all depends on the personality of that perticular fish. Also Bp's do regularly hit 8-10inches and it wouldnt be wise to chance having them get that big when they are fully grown. I think AQUAMONSTER said it best keep it SIMPLE and i would agree go with the rainbows but you always have to be prepared as every fish has a unique personality and you may get one that just turns out to be one mean SOAB.

well as i said i think bps size depends on there parents and one could nor get aa big as a other one is this true

Get a pair of Rainbow Cichlids and add a school of tetras. That's a simple and light stock that I think you can handle. It will also give you the opportunity to practice keeping a breeding pair. Listen to the advice given by the others. Members tend to give you a lot of sound advice over multiple threads. It's up to you to follow it now. If you have already set your mind on certain fish and intend to keep a specific stock, nothing we say will matter much any way. Good luck to you.

i would get a pair of rainbows but i have 2 blood parrot in my 30 gallon community. They need a bigger tank i can't get 2 bps and 2 Rainbow cichlid in a 65 gallon tank. Can I? I love my Bps i would never part with them. My mom loves them a lot too. I was thinking 1 rainbow cichlid and 2 Bps. Or did you mean i could have a pari of Bps with the rainbows. a little confusion.

You could do both but the odds of getting a pair from 2 rainbows is slim unless you find sexable ones. The rainbows will probly only hit 5 inches for the male and 3-4 inches for the female

Maybe 1 rainbow and a pair of rams and the bps. The rams should be okay with rainbows and Bps. Oh and how do you sex rams????
