I had a rainbow cichlid in with my BP and they were absolutely fine. they never seem to grow too fast but they also only get about 4" long. my two got along just fine.

Thanks they are pretty cool. They are not that common though. my Lfs specializes in rare and exotic fish tough. They should sell them they get 4-6 inches from what i have herd. 2 blood parrots and one rainbow cichlid should thrive in a 65 gallon tank!!!!

Oscaroo why do you ask for advice? From every thread of yours I've read you absorb the advice for about three posts then your back to where you started overstocked and trying to convince the people you asked for advice that your stock is ok. They are your tanks and are free to do what you want but don't expect people who take this hobby and the well being of their fish very seriously to pat you on the back for asking the same questions repeatedly and then not pay attention to the advice givin. I'm not trying to be mean but your threads are so frustrating to read.

Though I feel this advice will fall on deaf ears. I'd suggest dwarf cichlids, perhaps something from the Cryptoheros genus. Cutteri, Sajica and a few others are very beautiful fish with lots of personality. You can't have a lot of large fish in a small space for a lot of reasons. Aggression and water quality being the 2 biggest. Here are some pictures of different species in the genus for you. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=cryptoheros&FORM=BIFD#x0y213

Well Some people are saying it is okay to get. 2 Blood Parrots and a rainbow. But some people are not. I am starting to not overstock my tanks. I thought evryone would be proud that I have 1 Oscar in a 75 gallon tank. Not a 55 gallon tank. I was going to get 2 blood parrots and a severum and a fire mouth. but you said i could not so I did not. I do not know who to listen to anymore!?!? Everyone is telling me something different. I AM TRYING TO FOLLOW THE RULES! I DO NOT WANT TO BE AN ANNOYING WASTE OF TIME! :(

Some people said that I could not get convicts.

To everyone else,

You are confusing him. His stock list of two bp's and a rainbow that he now wants will work just fine in this tank. Do him a favor and stop giving other suggestions as you are not helping him right now. Unless you have something else to say about the BP's and a rainbow in this tank together I would just save it.

Oscaroo,

Sounds good to me and I with you all the luck with everything.

Thank you for saving me!!!! Good luck!!!!

Cage, sorry to beat a dead horse but noone has been trying to confuse him or give conflicting information. He is asking a question and we are answering it to the best of our abilities. If you read back through the thread the most confusion is coming from the OP's posts. Like others have said Oscaroo You should be fine with the 2 Bp's and ONE other medium sized cichlid in that size tank. And the the stock you have in mind (2bp's and 1 rainbow) does sound healthy.

rainbow cichlids and bps should make a good mix in that tank, youcould even do 2 apiece , might want to avoid 2 male rainbows in the same tank though . they MIGHT fight when they get adult size. good luck!
