Hi guys i've just re-entered in the hobby with this 180 gallon tank since i got it on a very good deal.
How would you stock it? I just don't know what to put in it, the only thing i know is that i don't want a community with cardinals and such, since i have a big tank i want some bigger fish in it.
Thanks everybody

Apurensis catfish and red tailed giant gourami would make a nice tank. Need a decent sized GG tho to avoid predation.

Odoe pike community.

Midas group.

South American blackwater cichlids and dollars...

Biotope.

Archer fish tank.

Oscar pair.

Pleco blackwater biotope.

Lone fahaka puffer fish.

Big black rhom pirahna.

Lone wyckii catfish possibly.

Lone black wolf fish possibly.

Tyre track eel and wide bar silver dollars.

A few ideas to get you started pal.

I think a single centerpiece cichlid, and a large group of smaller-growing cichlids, would be awesome. Could throw a few dithers in as well and it would be biotope-esque.
For example:
1x Vieja Regani
8x Sajica
6x swordtails
^this would be central American, you could also do a south American version of this
such as:
1x Hoplarchus Psittacus
8x Guianacara sp.
10x tetras
2x bristlenose

If you wanted a single fish for the whole tank, some ideas would be:
N. Haitensis
Vieja Guttalatum/Zonatus/Argentae, etc.
Trimaculatus
Managuense
Fahaka Puffer (might get too big? would be good for a long time though)

I saw Andy wood's haitiensis on yt and i have to say that its awesome but i looked for images on google and there are none like his. Why his one is so different in colour? Could it be the white substrate?
