That is one awesome Midas. I remember the buzz on forums when Bighead was put out to stud. Bighead was definitely a modeled beast. I could see the demand if you breed your Midas though. Great cichlid.

No. The idea of F1 barred Midas was too tempting at the time.

I too have an 8 year old barred (my avatar) from Rapps but do not think it was one of Bigheads offspring. He lacks a big head!

All the ones I've ever seen are grey.

If Barred Midas get yellow like that instead of grey, then Barred Midas is off the UNWANTED list and onto the WANTED list. Total turn around just like that.

But I think they are called blue Devils for a reason no?? Because it's so grey and dark. No colors and crappy. That's why I never wanted one ever.
