I would suggeest using the projector idea. Think of it this way, projectors are at max about $1,500. You could save money there and go big on the fish tank.
Best of luck.

I like the idea, plan everything and cost it all out first. I would suggest that when you do your budget add about a 1/3 on top for bits and pieces you'll miss. If you remember when I did the pond(that's not finished) I ended up spending at least £500 extra on bits that were never in the budget or thought of at the planning stage.greengiant;2463011; said:I am waiting on some prices I likely wont start construction until I have done up a budget on this project. I have to way a few options. if I go with a full length viewing window then I don't know if I can get glass or acrylic that is over 8' long that is economical. the next option is to build it the way I originally had drawn. if I go this way I will disassemble my 150G tank for he glass. that means I need to get my 250 done first so the fish have a home as their present home is the 150G. once I figure out what to do for filtration then I can build that at the same time. I tried to build a 200G sump out of wood but do to a couple elements missed in preplanning It never got finished. now its a waterproof doghouse. I havent decided which method I will use for construction as I havent decided how I'm going to do the front as stated above. the stand will be 2"square tubing welded and then skinned with oak and doors added to it. thats all I have for now
