720 8x3x4 1 inch thick acrylic advice on moving it.

Glad you got it thats a nice pickup...looks to be fairly new aswell from the pics. If it is really old 15-20yrs it will be a bit "tinted" yellowish green why dry. As long as the seams r in good shape i wouldnt b worried about anything. Id like to have it lol...

Crazy with 8 guys seemed it was not enough. Tank almost fell and smashed into my 240. I had to saw off part of the foundation of my house to get it thru.

I will post some pics soon in the Armatus section thanks everybody for your advice!

If that tank was moved with only two guys, then I have MAD respect for your skills. You guys are animals...

I am 6 foot 7' and 300+ pounds, and two of me could not lift mine without blown blood vessels.

Can you please tell me how 2 people can you move a 720 gallon acrylic fish tank?

Actually I am only 5'8" and 200#. The guy who helped me was smaller and over 50. But its about being smart. You notice the plywood under tha tank. We set it on that, used 2x4s to pry it up off the ground, got a floor jack under it to lift one end up to the height of my tailgate. Then we put pvc down to roll it on and used a come-along to winch it about halfway into my truck. The last half we had to use a 4x4 to pry it forwards into the truck. It took us a total of 3 hours to load it lol. From what I was told its over ten years old. It needs a good buffing, as it has a lot of small scrathes like acrylic gets, but no major scratches or gouges. The seams are crazed, so I am not going to fill it as is. I already talked to someone and decided that I am going to reinforce it with the tip-and-pour method with weldon-40. Thats if someone doesnt take it off my hands first since it wont even fit into the rental house that I am in right now. I already have a 300g, 76g bow, and a 55g setup and getting a 125 today lol.

Woweee you guys are awesome. That tank has the same sump as mine. Your pics made my day. Our biggest mistake was even though we rolled it on dollies. We lifted the tank onto the stand. That was the crazy part. Keep in touch!
