the tank itself needs a few touch-ups, but we will worry about that AFTER we get it all decorated and cycling. i'm also going to home depot to get some acrylic glass to use as the clear hood.

that is all i have for now. we are going out to get sand, rocks, slate, etc this saturday so i'll try to have pics up between the saturday after, or the saturday after that. sorry, but it'll take a while to get it all set up, and i currently don't have too much time on my hands since i have to study for finals. possibly if i get some time i will post pics sooner of progress made (if any) so stay posted. i think i'll get lava rocks. they seem better looking with my snow white socolofi to me. possibly black slate. . . i'm still deciding. any advice will be great. thanks! and just for those who are wondering, the stand doesn't shake. we checked that before we bought the tank.

cool, I would get some lace rock...it will darken over time and look cool... what I use...

the tops will bow over time, I would say keep an eye out for old used tops and pick them up... heck you can buy some from an old bigger tank and have the lowes peeps cut them down to size then stand... will look like new...

the thing i like about the acrylic glass idea though is that it is flat and cheap. plus it is much more convenient for me to go to home depot and get the glass cut than look for an older tank.

petsmart said that they would honor the price difference, but they were out of rena xp3! and home depot won't cut glass anymore! but i'm going to this special like glass and co place, where they will cut glass. and they said that there is no such thing as pool filter sand. . . unless people were talking about DE Filter powder?
