alright. i'm ganna be cleaning the sand this entire week since we don't have any homework because of finals. you want me to post pics of as the tank fills up, or when all the sand is in and after i set up lava and stuff?

cool... what code did you use? i remember a XP3XP4 as the last one a few months ago.

washing the samd is the part i hate the most, its sto ... slow. i did mine with a bucket and a hose, then when it went into the tank the tank got so cloudy i couldnt see the fish for almost 2 days???

good luck with the silica, i have herd od alot of people having sucess with it and others... well they say that it retains too much contaminates from the refining process. and it can leach into your water.

but i dont belive it? also take lots of pics.

i used the SAVEJAN code, and also i had a giftcard i got for xmas that had like $13.10 left on it and that brought the price down. anyways, the petsmart site was bein *** and when we called the ppl they told us that they wud call us back today which never happened so we called them and they took us through the process and then asked for my mom's SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER! my mom had just given him all her info, and she was like "HELL NO!" so anyways, we found a store not too far away that said they would hold it for us. we are bringing a printout of the stuff we went through last night so it will be the same price. we are getting it today.

i'll upload pics as soon as i start adding sand. and does the xP3 have a compartment for my filter to go in? no one ever answered that for me. but ya, we are going to have to find a table cloth for the stand. it is a normal 55g stand. can it hold the weight of 100lbs of sand, lava/slate, and the water? it can hold my weight just fine, but i don't weigh that much. . . ?

Not sure what you mean about the filter... it has three seperate compartments, and each one is devided in half. i keep mine like this... 2 corse, 1fine and 1finer sponges. then in the next ones, ciramic rings, then ehimes little balls?, then carbon/phosorb then 2-3 fine pads, like filter wool.

hope that helps.

edit: and this is on my 90G with 15 large millawies
