75 gallon tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No, even if this is going to be over stocked, this is way over stocked, a Oscar alone a would make a lot of waste. The only good thing for overstocked tanks are Mbuna cichlids. You could either have a solo Oscar, solo texas, or a pair of jack dempseys. If you want all of these fish together, I suggest getting at least a 125 gallon since all these fish full grown would make huge territories, bigger the tank the better.

thankyou but I'm afraid to say its too late because I already ordered the JD and texas cichlid ?
do you think i could pull it of with 1 week water changes etc?

Depends on the size, you could probably have them together before you see any aggression between the 2 fish or before they start to mature, probably will take a year. Then you could rehome your least favorite, if you rehome the Texas, you could find the opposite gender of the jack and have a pair.

I'm so sorry for carrying on this convo but with all the fish matured do you think with the right filtration and water parameters i could keep them in my 75 ?

Omg, thank you so much for opinion.
I do indeed have the long as well 4 foot tank

if you want i can send you a picture in a little to show you how its doing what do you think?

The picture right now is not needed, but when you get the fish watch them to see if they can live together without any aggression.

It is not just the water quality to be concerned with. You will need to do large frequent water changes but you are also putting three fish that grow over 10 inches and are extremely territorial in a 48 inch aquarium......could be problematic.
