75 Gallon v 55 Gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
strictly from an aquascaping standpoint i perfer a 75 over a 55 for the extra depth its alot easier to stack rocks and more room to turn driftwood in and looks better in the end all things being the same just tank size.

+1

Even though it's only a 20 gallon difference; I feel that you could do so much more with that extra depth.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Great info!

I have a 50 breeder that has that 18 inch depth and it is wonderful. Like night and day. You will love the 75 compared to the 55.

Well, I just bought a 125 gallon instead! I guess I would be able to do a little more in that, than a 75, haha. Now I need to figure out stocking all over again. Thanks for the responses.

your gonna love the 125 REALLY nice footprint for CA/SA cichlids, just avoid the temptation to overstock

Yeah, I know that is going to be something to watch out for. But I am really excited even though the wife was far from pleased haha. I'm thinking of building off of the Gold Saum, Firemouth, convict and Pictus cat idea I conveyed above.
