75 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
as babys yes, as adults... debatable, lots of large waterchanges 2-3x a week and imo its too small for a full grown oscar, others will say its ok for 1 oscar alone, some say a 55g is ok for an oscar. will probably find the jd beating up the oscar as they mature in a tank that size, thats if the oscar doesnt eat it, oscars grow very fast and eat anything they can fit in there mouth, jd grow super slow.

a few suggestions of readily available fish
various combos
ebjd, jd, blue acara, severums (roketiel are nice), geos depending on species, firemouth, convict, sajica,
angel fish, appistograma, keyhole cichlids, dwarf pike cichlids
pairs
green terror pair, red tiger montague pair, salvini pair, cuban pair, not american but a paratilapia polleni pair
if kept alone
oscar, midas, rd , fh, trimac female, texas, chocolate, some vieja species

Oscar and JD full grown might be abit crowded but it's "doable". As far as recommendations it really depends on what you like. You seem set on and EBJD which is great, I have one too, but you have to remember every fish has a different personality. While my EBJD has an additude, they have a reputation for not being as mean as normal JD. GT could work out but just remember that again, every fish is an individual and something that worked for one person may not work for you. I'll stop rambling now but I agree with most of justarn suggestions.

Both are very slow growers so it's a possibility. The GT may be too far in the aggressive side though but every fish is differnt.

Dont put an oscar and an ebjd in a 75.. 75 should be good for just the o

Okay guys last question I'm planning to house 1 oscar and 1 senegal bichir in 75 gallon do you think its possible? *fingers crossed*
