75 standard vs long

Interested in what would be better for keeping a flowerhorn, a standard 75 or 75 long. The long is 72 x 18 x 13. Where as the standard is 48 x 18 x 24. Essentially is depth or length more important to them?

I would go with the long gives the fish more room to swim.. I pick long for all my tanks but I don't really know much about flower horns.

i would go for the standard for some flowerhorns will get pretty tall bodies. but i think it 6 to one; half dozen to the other really

13" depth severely limits the fish you can put in there, if you want any fish 6" or greater go with the standard, a 13" depth imo permits small fish, nothing big.

If you want small fish you for your answer above^^

I'd put a flowerhorn in the 48x18x21 and some tropheus in the 72x18x13

If you were gonna do a single flowerhorn specimen he'd be happy in the standard 75g with the wider/higher footprint.

I'm assuming the OP only has just the flowerhorn in the tank? (or will have it in the tank)
