Thanks. I got a sweet deal on that big dat because the owner told me he had unstable color. When I first got him he was dull and dark. Now he is bright gold and really stands out with color. Just goes to show you what good water quality and food can do to a fish. He is a crowd favorite in the tank.

I want a tank like that! Awesome!!!
Love all your fishes and your setup. You need a big p. endlicheri congicus! ;)

Thank you very much. I have an endli endli, an endli congicus, and a lapridae all growing out in a 240 as we speak. They all are about 12" so I want to beef them up a little more so they dont' become dessert for my other fish. hehe.

No, the gar get along with everyone. I have kept many gar and arrow together without problems. If anything the arrows will pic on the gars occasianally, but usually just leave them alone. Now, if your friend has a true alligator gar that is larger than his arrow then that might cause some problems as the gator gars will strike at anything that flashes, especially at night when they can't see as well.

Awesome tank. Couldn't believe there was a gigas in there. What's the filtration?(didn't see if covered, might have missed it.)

Take a look at the first pic on page one. It pretty much shows the filtration. I'm running two dolphin pumps with a total of 7500 gph- that's turning the water in the tank 10 times per hour. The pump on the left has a bead style pond filter plumbed, rated to 1000 gallons and then I have a 135gallon sump with homemade matt style wetdry filter system for the two overflows. I just used 4 egg crates. The bottom one's are empty to raise the height for the upper one's out of the water. The water level in the sump is right at the top of the bottom crates. In the top crates I have woven plastic, nylon matt material- real high surface area material, and then on top of that a small layer of filter pad that I change out every two weeks or so. It works really well and keeps the tank crystal clear, even with all the fish I have in it. I change the water once a week at about 150 gallons. Hope this answers your question.
