Hey yall! I'm new to the cite but have been looking at the forums for advice for years now! But now I've reached that critical point in my life that I'm ready to set up my first 'big' tank! My tentative 75 gallon stock list includes:
1 - Tiger Oscar
1 - JD
1 - GT
1 - Bichir Delhezi
1 - Spotted Raphael Catfish

I will be purchasing them all as babies so they can grow together. What do y'all think? Can this possibly work? I have an Eheim 2217 canister filter. Can't wait to hear back from y'all!

I believe it would work, though once the fish get bigger your likely to need alot more filtration then just the 2217.

I would say drop the oscar, and beef up filtration when fish get larger and you'll be ok. If your heart is set on the oscar, drop the Bichir.

An Oscar, GT and JD all in a 75g, when in another thread everyone said 4 male severums in my 75g was to much :S

Okay I'll part ways with that oscar from the list. That make room for a striped raph? I'm greedy ^.^ and I will be sure to upgrade that filter in about a year and a half or so ;)

Or possibly could I drop the JD and get another spotted raph? I was pretty dead set on building around the Bichir and Oscar. Or will I just have to bite the bullet and accept it :P

I think if you drop the gt and either the bichir or raph, you can keep everything else. Gt grow slow so it may get bullied by the oscar. Since raphs are nocturnal you prolly won't see it, so I'd keep the bichir. When the fish get older add a AC110.
