Hey aweshade's back! 
Thanks yall! Yeah I thought if i added that second filter it would help enough for me to keep all 4? I have considered a GT, JD, and 2 bichirs as a downgrade from the oscar but you know how set I am on the oscar 
I'm actually going to my grandpa's this weekend and spending time with his jack dempsey in a 55g - he's trying to convert me away from the oscar lol

Also I got some ammonia eating stuff and carbon mix - will that actually work?
Get pothos to eat nitrates and a little ammonia. The ammonia will work as far as I know, but a fairly large HOB filter filled with foam or sponges for bio filtration.
Wow thats fantastic! I was planning on attaching the anubias nana to the driftwood so that the oscar would be less likely to play with it. I'll read up a lot more on that pothos stuff too. We're going to a fish store today so that I can see more adult Oscars and stuff in person to make sure I'm not willing to downgrade it to a GT and JD instead of GT Oscar.
