75g!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Really? I thought a 90 would be a bit longer or something
Nope jexnell had it bang on, the 75 is 21 inches tall and the 90g is 24 inches tall. Both tanks use the same stand if the stand has the weight capacity.

I don’t mean to burst your bubble but I do not think they both can live in the 90 for life. Even if you choose one over the other and wanted a mate for it it might not work as there’s not much space for one to escape if it’s being picked on. Even with ample hiding places

a fish can shoot across 4 feet in a second quicker than you can blink lol

Flowerhorns are not know to be any version of nice. That is why you typically see them as solo fish. Most of the time they even have to use egg crate separators just to breed them such as my I did when I introduced my F3 Saggitae to new females.

Could both fish be nice and get along yes there is a chance, but I would play the lottery before I bet on them doing that....

Not to mention that Blackbelt will fill the 75 by itself

Here's the thing. They are your fish. You bought them you own them. You keep them alive. If you want to put them in a 29g for life go for it, 75g go for it, 90g go for it. One of them will live probably. You would be better to split the tank but it would be to small.

But there’s a chance they could co-exist in a 90? I might try it while the FH is still young not sure. Such a beautiful black belt I want to keep it.

I fish almost all day everyday. I know how fast fish can move when they want to ??. You ever seen a breeding pair of 13 pound largemouth bass abandon their nest in 1 second because you took too loud of a step ?
