75gallon diy stand

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its got about 60 gallons of water in it as well as 50lbs of sand..

heres a tip for sand... obviously rinse it as well as you can.. then dump it in the empty tank... let it sit overnight.. then put a big foam block on the end of your filling hose.. i kicked up almost no "dust" at all.. if i wasnt scared of the tank failing i could have my filters up and running as soon as the tank is 100% full...

pics to follow at some point

yeah... all week long i live by the clock.. on the weekend timeframes go right out the window..

the tank is full.. the sand is set.. the 2 ac110s are up and running.. .... ... o man thats a lot of water.. i really hope it stays in the tank and not on the floor..

No problem Bro, I have faith...

woohoo!!! i have never had such an easy time catching my pleco.. i pulled out his log and stuck the plastic pitcher in the tank and he prettymuch just swam into it... my god that went well..
my CAE is staying in the 55 for now.. catching him requires an empty tank with less than 3" of water..
the big (3.5 - 4") pbass was a pretty easy catch however the congo tetras did not want him to leave they kept fighting eachother to get into the net with him...
the lights are on (crappy 15w whatevers that came with the 55)

ok ok ... ill take some pics now..

the pbass is cowering under the wood and does not want to come out for pics... the pleco is in the corner waiting for me to get HIS wood cleaned (i dont like the hair algae).. ive got some hornwort in there.. it grows like mad in prettymuch whatever light conditions and ive yet to kill it no matter what i do to it).. i also have a massive crop of duckweed in my shrimp tank which hitchhiked a ride on the hornwort im going to have to come up with some sort of duckweed corral to keep it out of the filters..

i think this all goes to show beer goggles are what you need to build a top stand wtg

the stand is far from done.. lazyness and heat are putting a serious damper on it.. but the tank needed to get up and running before i started losing fish...

No leaks,
seams look good,
2 - 110's are friggin huge even ona 75g,

stand is doing it's job till it get's too cold to build anything...:D:D

The fish says it's all good...and I 2nd them....
