im not talkin about sheeting the stand.. that has its own half plan...
what im talking about is corner braces on the outside of the tank... from top to bottom.. theres no real way to attach them to the brace that goes around the top and bottom so i dont know if it would do anything other than hide the super thick globs of silicone on the insides that i plan on putting on..
im just scared of this thing blowing out on me... the tank is 15 years old.. the bottom has been resealed once from the looks of it..
i dunno... back to scraping old silicone and salt...
paper towels work sooooo much better than hands (gloved or ungloved)
wad them up nice and tight so that they make a trapezoid shape... run a line of caulk up the seam then push nice and hard with the paper towel... makes it so smooth and even while keeping it thick in the very corner... so good...
i tried this once with a credit card cut to shape (well.. grocery store club card).. it worked but a lot smushed out the edges.. it worked but it wasnt as nice...
ill get some more pics in a bit its dinner time...

o its far from perfect.. but a lil work with a razor once it cures and it should be ready to rock... todays wednesday... i figure fridaynight/saturday morning it should be ready for water..
hey heres those pics i was talking about yesterday... im getting real good at "getting to it 24 hours later)
that last pic makes the tank look like its 6" tall...
anyway.. those are from tonight.. silicone is "dry" but im going to go ahead and give it a full 48 hours before i trim it up a bit (friday)... then ill add some water on waterday (like caturday for fishfolk)..
the big pbass had 3 FULL cichlid sticks in his mouth this evening... i counted 7 otos tonight.. there were 9 like 2 days ago.. im noticing that they are hiding a LOT more than normal... either way...
the second ac110 should be delivered tomorrow... so if i add water saturday morning.. if the tanks still standing the next morning.. it will be fishymoving day..
