Your position is (hopefully "was") that if flow slowed, the location of my sensor is a poor choice.

If the flow slowed, then radiating heat from the heaters will start to affect the sensor upstream.
Are there temperature controllers with 2 sensors and independent controls in that case?

you guys are too funny, I think as long as the probe comes b4 the heaters it is just fine given that reading on the probe will be reading the last body of water prior to placement of the heaters guaranteeing that any water flowing through the system to the probe is adequate temp

but unlike Jose, you are using eheims which have temp sensors that can guard against flow stops...
Unbelievable thread, Alex. When a newbie posts about their pacu in a hundred gallon tank, and people ask what their long term plans are for their fish, they are called "haters". You post your filtration for your beautiful tank...filtration that results in stellar water parameters, healthy fish, crispy water, and your filtration is criticized.
There is more than one way to skin a cat, and if filtration works, it works. There's no one right way or wrong way to do anything. I will say that many of us don't post our filtration because it's too scuzzy looking.
The ethnic comments are offensive and discriminatory. I work for the state, and if I made those comments, I would lose my job. Ethnic slurs do not have their place anywhere.
You have a tank and setup to be proud of. You've done a lot of very nice work. Great job!!! After this thread, I'm sure the haters will be coming out of the woodwork gunning for me when I post my setup involving my 405 gallon holding tank which will have filter socks, pond matrix and my heaters thrown in as an afterthought. I'm going to do my own thing, and it won't matter what the haters think.
