770 Gallon Monster Setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
just do some natives

- crappie
- bluegill
- small mouth bass / large mouth

x2 on the natives suggestion (adding sunfish to the list though) if your looking for such a wide temp range. The high end is no biggie with CA's but the low 60's, not so much. AMAZING tank by the way. I absoltuly love the plumbing, sump etc.. Nice to see someone not take the cheap route like I always do lol..

That is one bad-ass tank! What are your plans for how to do water changes?

PS - I second the CA theme!

For now I will be running a hose from a spigot in the yard. I'm planning to install a hot water spigot on the exterior of my house just in case I end up being able to keep tropicals. Moen makes one that looks cool: http://www.moen.com/moen/12-outdoor-faucet/_/R-CONSUMER:HC400512

You can't have a big tank like that and not have some rays. Some Leos would be awesome!

I don't want any trouble with the law (I don't want fish and game rollin' on me).

I was thinking about this. I need to look into CA Fish and Game laws to make sure I'm able to keep them. I'm not sure it's legal to keep Bass.

Sunfish are definitely at the top of my list. There's a thread on the missouri long ear on this site...that's a cool looking fish. I got a little carried away with the plumbing and spent way more than I should have. I could have plumbed it for 1/4 the cost and it would have been as effective, but since my stand is not finished I wanted it to look bad ass. I need to find a way to support the overflow plumbing under the tank (the 4x4's have got to go) and find a cleaner way to mount the filter socks. Any suggestions?

Dang I don't get any recognition for suggesting natives first. Lol

Actually I think largemouth might get a little big, since your tank is 36" front to back.

That is a very nice and setup u have there man....I will be setting up my 750 this weekend also made by tenecor....I hope my setup goes as well as yours did...
