I will be getting a 770 gallon tank in the future. The footprint is 130x36x37. I would like to stock it with either 3 or 5 peacock bass, or 11, 13, or 15 Discus fish as the main focus. What do you think is the best choice? Also what could I add to the list?

Thanks,
Keith

Here is what I would stock personally:
3-4 Black arowanas
2-3 Golden Dorados
5-6 Peacock Bass
And don't forget some rays and finally massive school of community fish, like 1000+ Neons and so forth!
And the tank should be planted. :D

Just kidding, put your beating sticks away. I'd do the p bass with maybe a marbled pim or two. you could even squeeze a pacu in there, maybe.

lol!

compared to what 98% of the pacu's are put through, and the tiny 55 and 75g tanks their stuck into, this guys 700+ would be like living in bill gates mansion. id personally add my 2 pacu to your tank and call it a day ;)

im not sure i would personally keep discus or rays with pbass without amazing filtration of regular maintenence. the pb can get big and produce quite a large ammount of waste i would think, which isnt good for fish as sensitive as discus and rays. im not a discus keeper, so this is just from my own opinion.

In my opinion, definatly keep the bass. if you get quality pbass they can easily be the main focus of your tank. add in a pacu if you like them (how cna you not) and then you got tons of room for bottom feeders such as bunch of different polypterus or a hell of a school of clown loaches.

on the other hand, if you have top notch filtration, rays and pbass would look sweet together :)

Yeah I like the idea of a planted Melon Discus tank with a shoal of some sort of community fish like zebra danios...600 of them and 200 diamond tetras then 100 silver hatchet LOL that's overstocked right?Damn!Maybe 15 Discus and one MASSIVE shoal of a rarer type of cory =]]

discus and 2 blue arows

With a large amount of grass type plants and Amazon Swords in the tank .

IMO' the tank would look great . Maybe with some other type of fish too , ( Loaches or something ) .

That would make an amazing live plant tank with a group of discus and a school of some type of small tetra.

A large group of Discus ( maybe about 8 or 10+ ) anlong with loads of schooling fish would look great . ( Tetras , Barbs , Kribs , Danios , Corys , Loaches , Ect would look nice ) .

Plants - alot of grass type plants along with Amazon Swords and maybe a couple of Tiger Lotus plants would be nice .

If your not wanting a planted tank i would go with ever a CA Cichlid tank or a SA Cichlid tank . Or maybe a PBass and Ray tank .
