I currently house a pretty large pair of Festae that appear to be ready to spawn again in an 8' 300 gallon community. They tolerate a 12" female Jag, 12" male Argentea and a few plecos and silver dollars. Male is pushing 13" or so female around 7-8". No divider used, but I have 2 ready to go if I/they need them.
It works for now, but for how long? who knows really. I have a few other options for housing fish if need be because what works today could end up not working tomorrow. Always be ready to move a fish if need be especially with pairs. Personally, I would not try another breeding pair in my setup though. Just my 2c
