Man your tank is looking great. I am going to use Max ACR to coat my tank first and then go over it with Sweetwater Epoxy paint. What type of matte did you use in the corners? What weight?

have u heard how well silicone bonds to pond armor??? i was contemplating wetsuit but not sure which direction to go and if the pond armor silicone bond is strong i think i will use that.

I contacted the company about that, they said it bonds just like any other epoxy resin does, I will find out soon enough if that is the case. I know that max acr with sweetwater epoxy paint over it bonds great with silicone.

I just used the Bondo brand fiberglass matte that homedepot sells, doesn't list a weight on the bag. Make sure you get a good seal with the max acr, the sweetwater epoxy paint is as thin as normal paint, I wouldn't rely on it to fill in any small holes.

Updates? Obviously we are still waiting on the silicon to dry? How much longer? Are you working on the plumbing now?

Silicone is done drying, just took the braces off last night. I started painting the outside yesterday, got most of the way done before running out of paint. Going to get some more and finish it today.

Plumbing I am waiting on my aquabead filter for. It was supposed to be here yesterday at the latest, and yesterday they finally shipped it. :irked: Will have it thursday or friday.

Planning on working on the tables that will sit ontop of the pond to hold the bio ball towers in the rear and in the front will hold a 65 and 75 gallon aquarium. The 75 will be for pups and the 65 to holder feeder guppies and/or ghost shrimp.

I am hoping to be ready to put water in it by Sunday.
