8" salvini rescue

nice pick up. there was a big male at my LFS about that size that im sure someone dropped off. they were asking $50 for it...
Hehe yeah, when i inspected it, i was like "huh? rescue?" More like SCORE!
I already love this fish alot, it has so much personality, and seems extatic to be in a properly sized tank and with other cichlids!
When i first saw him, i was like, salvini?? never seen one that big lol, and i've always been taught they don't grow over 18cm and this one is a tad over 20cm's!

Excellent score man. Seems like a win-win situation. You got a free healthy fish that will possibly produce fry, and he gets a nice new home with a sugar mama! Everyone's happy!
damn thats a big salvini. glad you were able to rescue him. bet hell start to color up in a few days now that he is in a better enviornment.
