yeah i was thinking those too! but i dont think hes gunna wanna spend all that mulaaa -__-

This makes no sense, as the discus would cost only a small fraction of what it will cost to build and maintain a 800 gallon aquarium set up. Your talking about rays, a few rays are gonna be just a expensive. Could you please post pics of this monster set up? Anyhow, amazonian theme would be best, but I'm biased, I would have to have several black arowana. How many would depend on dimensions though, do you know the dimensions?

Be cool to see another thread posted regarding all you dad's cars too:drool:

my grandfather is actually building the tank as he owns a glass company and has had requests to build enormous fish tanks before. and yes will post some pics once the construction starts:D and yes i agree amazon theme would work out best! and i dont no the dimensions because he hasnt told me yet and hes at meca car auction without me-_- but yes i definatly will post a thread with his cars lol!

I would at least have a male umbee and an acanthicus adonis. Then some reasonable dithers after that.

lets say i wanted to do a sort of amazon theme...what fish would i put in it to makeit a sort of communty tank that fish wouldnt eat eachother?

I think an african tank would be easy to set up and maintain. lots of big rocks. some of the most colorful fw fish. discus would be awesome, but you have to realize that these fish demand prestine water. can't imagine changing 400 gals. of water twice a week.

As noted above by Nikond70s... angels, Discus, geos... you could put a Black Aro up top... maybe a ray on the bottom... plenty of options.

Obviously no tetras with rays or an Aro. But the others would all get along nicely.
