Towards other sunfish they are but the perch aren’t bothered. Once they start making some nests, I imagine within the next few weeks they will be a lot more aggressive

Do you think they would be agressive towards koi and channel catfish? I’m building a pond, and am interested in sunnies. Pumpkinseeds specifically.
Koi possibly. Not to many fish are aggressive towards catfish except other catfish in my experience. I’ll be adding a bullhead cat or two to this tank.
I guess I will have to try it - they would be more aggressive towards butterfly koi if any because of the long fins, right?

Those would get eaten by the catfish - I guess I’ll look for a different native. Thanks and good luck
Finally got around to polishing up the cube. Likely going to be an LPS reef
I will be picking up a fiji cube 1200 overflow. I have the back brace of the tank cut out for it
