About the 84x12x12 tank. ... is it up and running? What are your thoughts on it? any pics? I'm seriously considering of doing a long narrow tank myself, but I'd like to here your experiences

It’s been up and running for a few months now. I love the tank. Gives the illusion of a huge aquarium without the water volume of one. I used it to fill an empty wall in the bedroom. Runs perfectly silent. Fish selection isn’t the easiest but I like what I have. Pic is from about a month ago.

I may eventually switch it to a reef tank but for now I’m happy.

I like that setup.

You might want to put a cross brace on that stand, particularly if you live in a seismically active area or have rambunctious kids, dog, etc. I'm guessing it may not be longitudinally stable if bumped hard.

Which stand? No seismic other than some weak rumbles from mining activity.
