yea man i was down fishing on my friends boat, we keep our boat in bridgeport, we pulled it for the year though , i might be down enxt weeked ill give you a call i gotta check out these fish

yikes, i'd be a bit wary about putting those two together. as mean as istlanum are, i think the midas will punish him. three inch difference plus the extra bulk = pwnage on the istlanum... be careful!

Yeah the Midas is a Heavy weight mean SOB but I don't think I will have much of a problem with the Istlanum. I have a really really good feeling everything will be ok. I mean 7 ft of lateral swimming room plus there are plenty of places to hide as I added slate caves going right up and a Stone wall. plus I have alot of over hanging plants. The tank has changed but not much besides the rock caves.

HA you got it Ornatum is next on my list lol. I have to finish the Trio you know me.

Told you I am going to get my Beani then my Istlanum and then my Ornatum. Then it's time to finish up my Parachromis collecting. I was going to order a RTM as well with the Istlanum but I decided to wait.

Oh and no more Fronts lol. Decided no.

slightly off topic but where are you getting ornatum from?
that's a big tank no doubt... maybe you can do a careful overcrowding and achieve great success!

I haven't got a source of Ornatum yet but will. I am SUPER persistant to get what I want and I will 100% without a doubt find them.

overcrowd the tank is a possibility but I don't care much for tanks like that. So it's either they get along or he goes in another tank.

i was thinking of taking the big male as soon as i saw him, but decided to get juvi's. If it only takes a year or so for them ot get that big i thought i saved a good amount of money with juvi's.

i was thinking of taking the big male as soon as i saw him, but decided to get juvi's. If it only takes a year or so for them ot get that big i thought i saved a good amount of money with juvi's.

The juvies will grow really fast. A male istlanum will hit the 8 inch mark in a year easy. They eat like machines, seldomly acting disinterested in food.
