Nice fish! I really like the midas just picked up a rd cant wait till he gets some size on him. Do you know how old the islantum is? my juvies are growing painfuly slow

Got him at 3 pm today. Doing good. Wont eat obviously but will soon. My Midas wasn't much of a problem. Some chasing and one nip but thats it. I decided to divide them for a couple weeks and re-introduce them. They get along suprisingly well though. Just wanted to play it safe with the divider for a little while until they get used to seeing each other. Oh and guys NO WAY is he even close to 9". Rapps over estimates his fish. He is maybe 6"-7". Or he is 9" and my Midas has to be at least 14" lol. He pretty much Dwarfs the Istlanum. Can't get a clear shot though because the tank is a blackwater tank but I took out all the DW and doing a 50% Water change tomorrow to clear it up. Also going to get some higher out put bulbs.

YES I know They are crap pics ( as I usually take some great pics but..) but He's stressed, Hiding and my 150 has tannic acid Galore from my Red Oak DW. Best I can get for now. Tomorrow you will se MUCH MUCH better pics.

I would imagine a little less than a year old or maybe a year. I don't know.

that sucks bro... considering how much you paid for him... the least he could have done was given an accurate measurement...

Yeah $180 to my door and turns out to be a Sub Adult and he advertised Jumbo Male. I think he is just about 6" max. My Midas is twice his length and about 5 times his body size. What ever I have no problem with Rapps except over estimating fish sizes. Like he sold me my F0 Managuense at 6" and it was 3"-4" when he got here.

The Istlanum is little though. But time will make me when he gets 12".
