Could you give me the name of those long leaf plants and how long did it take you to grow them or i should say are they hard to look after because i am thinking about doing a mixed goldfish tank some big some small anywa do plants need a heater? also what type of snad is good to use is any sand good?.

hi, no probs.
if you are gonna have Goldfish then you need tough and hardy plants. as goldfish will eat most plants.
I would suggest, Amazon Swords, Giant vallis, Onion Plant, Java Fern, and Anubias, as theya really tough and do ok in coldwater.

For Sand i use play pit sand. alot cheaper than aquarium sand - its just needs more washing before going in.
