Finely found a suitable sump donor.

90 gallon 48 x 24 tall x 18.
Some how a 4" seam popped on the 30 minute drive home.

I going to bond a 1/2" sheet to the top. Reinforce all the corners. As I build it into a custom fluidized algea scrubber.

Lots of filter socks. Inside a frog proof upper chamber.

Means to allow baby fry to pass into the sump . I am thinking I can let the filter socks flood over as fry are released by moms.

A couple of baffled holding tanks. For grow outs.

I want some 2 gallon tanks on top, for fry,

I have 48" x 24" foot print with 32" of hieght . Under a tube steel stand.

I can't imagine building a 90 gallon tank only equipped with a single 3/8" I'd, hose barb as the overflow supply.

The black overflow appears to be soft plastic glued to the acrylic. Somebody had to cut into it probably to unplug it some time ago looking at the patch job on its base.20180828_181045.jpg

Taped saw line.20180907_183031.jpg
Razor sharp 14 tpi sae blade, on a variable speed saw. Laid back at 35' degrees and keep it between the lines, and leave a small uncut piece in the middle, to keep it steady when the other side is cut.20180907_183744.jpg
Little rouph, but I got a gallon of WELD-ON 40 so gaps are not an issue.20180907_190621.jpg
60 x 48 sheet of 1/2" acrylic kind of hard to cut on a small table saw. Freebie from work, it was hard to not build a plywood tank but 1/2" is only good fo about 30 inches.20180907_191415.jpg
My sump area is only 22" x 48" .I am going to use the cut off top as a lid for my aquarium as its 48 x 18. The blue side is going down.

I almost forgot about a waterfall sieve.20180908_121430.jpg
White screen is simulated seive. Most of the water will fall through before the first baffle.
Baffle #1 fluidized algea balls, or K1 plan B.

Baffle #2 sump pump, waste catch for sieve. Might drill also for mag pump, and chiller drums in basement.
Random sump clutter.

Baffle #3 and #4. Grow out tanks, with mini tanks on top as lids, for fry. 15364229429996905417973253485590.jpg

Down stairs in the walk in sump. Note the tank on top of the drums is empty less a hydroponically grown plants.

The pink tank is algea growing experimental stuff.

Note the large steel pillers that are keeping the house from caving in. *** legal disclaimer***

Well my weld-on 40 supplier, finally passed the box off to UPS. Three weeks later than ordered.

I have never had such bad service before, or have been lied to about shipping. I just hope it's a real gallon of weld-on coming with the tracking number, and not an air filled box.

Test bond at 60F acylic to "polycarbonate" rouph cut.

This is definitely a job to do with a organic cartridge gas mask.

Epoxy, vinyalester, polyester, skunks, rotten eggs, weld-on 40.

Test piece.153823788483945838701629259123.jpgseams the acylic " clear " lacked any bite from the weld on 40.

So I am sanding all joints, the old acylic was not wiped with acetone.

It's going to take about 20 glue batches. Maybe 2 per week day, and 4 on a week end. If the weather permits.20180929_160042.jpg
First thing was to ditch the wide mouth bottle and repack it in smaller quanity.

A 60cc syringe with the tip drilled off or a big tiped one, will suck up the part A. Thickest stuff, a small 5cc syringe unaltered work for the part b.

Then just pump it into a zip lock bag, to mix up for 3 minutes.

Then just pierce the bag corner after you vent the bag of vapors. Then use it like weld on 16.

I will pour some .3 fillet after the panels are all glued on. After about 4 more batches.

Definitely use a respirator.
