Heading to another lfs today to look at tank mates. Like I mentioned before maybe a sevrum or blue acara.....but now I also just thought of silver dollars? Reason being is my little O seems pretty aggressive to his pleco tank mate right now. I didn't know if a schoaling fish might fair better.....give the tank alittle movement too. I know SD's grow to a decent size though and do not want to overload crowd my tank. Mind you my tank is fully cycled.

Nice little acara love the trailer fins

As my tank sits right now I have it at 82 degrees. The fish seem happy but I was worried that it may be a touch too high. What do some of you more experienced keepers feel?

I believe Oscars are, or can be, found in slightly cooler waters. The higher temperature will keep their metabolism high and they will grow faster though.

Is that actually just a regular blue acara and not the electric blue variety? Nice-good choice!

Imo that's a little high, I prefer to keep my tanks about 77/78 also keeping your tank at 82 you increase the risk of bacterial infections.

Yes. Nothing against the electric blues but to me they look like someone colored them. The regular Blue Acara is just as beautiful and looks natural to me.
