Would say mostly male. At 3-4" the males start coloring up. Being hand picked by the LFS, he might have gotten only males. 18 dollars is a fair price.

It is just not about how many females. You will want the correct type of females. I would recommend staying with all male setup. Adding females will add another level of aggression to the mix and the great probability of hybridizing fish.
