97' MKIV TT Supra, or 09' Subaru WRX STi ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If cost is truly not an issue then a supra is hard to beat but only if you have another car to drive the rest of the time. An STI modded or stock you'll at least be able to enjoy in virtually all conditions but that also means you'll take it for granted and will be more likely to have an oh **** moment at some point.

However any modded car, imo, is much more enjoyable if you have the option of something else to drive on a regular basis.

Fast cars are fun and all but be prepared. Take that well researched dollar amount in your head and then double it and if you can stay close to that then you're doing alright.

Love the black 15th, but that red one doesn't look very good to me. Just my opinion though. How much rwhp you pushin on that black one?

As of right now it made 723hp to the wheels, but the funny part is my 4 cylinder civic made around the same hp, but I love to drive my type r more than my civic and my supra, too bad I own some of the most stolen cars in America

Just get the STI imo. The Supra would be based an unreliable ride compared to the STI. You could beat the crap out of it and it'll still run. Plus you can drive it all year round and you can push a lot of power through those beasts. I also think anything over 600+ HP is overkill, you're not gonna be able to use half of that as a daily driver.

My buddy owns a shop that deals with evos and wrx's and sti's on a daily basis and with a few bolt ons and the right tune they can be fun to drive

wait will the car be already modified or are u gonna do modify it?

imo i would get the supra, better resale. also you can still drive your other car. its all about money, when its time to sale the wrx or supra, your gonna get more money from the supra.

To answer your question, if I were to get a Supra, I would want it to be as close to bone stock as possible. You get more satisfaction out of doing something yourself, and if I were to get a modded one off the bat, it wouldn't have as much meaning I guess you could say to me.

Someone else asked if I had another beater car to drive around most days, yes I do. It was a flood car, but it still runs most of the time lol. There are a few mechanical problems with it, but we just replaced a few bigger ones. New tie rods, rotors, replaced the entire AC unit, even though that is electrical. Most things electronic are screwed though. My odometor goes up in three's haha.

If i were to get my hands on the Supra, I would want it to be right around the 550-600 hp range, nothing TOO outrageous, but still quick. Yes I have driven a 700-800+ rwhp car. A good friend of mines dad has a 97' MKIV, he had it dyno'd and it rang out at about 873 rwhp, it was almost too much.

I would buy the supra and walk in the winter. I wish I could afford a supra. I would own one in a heartbeat.
