I'd do yourself a favor and start trying to find insurance. Once you find cheap affordable insurance for a 10+ year old car for someone your age with a record like yours the rest should be easy.......

I'm with Pharaoh..... WISHING I could afford one.

Get tha Supra.. no matter how much more practical the subaru is you will never turn the same amount of heads in that and when you own a car like that that is more or less what you are after.. get another dd if you need to but you will have regrets forever if you let go of the opportunity to own one of the most saught after japanese racers ever..

Everyone seems to have a strong opinion on the issue but noone has a foundation for their arguments. I've driven both and can say with 100% certainty that this isn't really a comparison. A nice bolt-on Supra will walk on an STI with same mods, any day of the week. Don't be dissuaded by people talking about turbo this, RWD that, etc etc. Fact is...if you can drive and have some brains, you'll be fine. I drove an S2000 year round for 2 years in NJ.

:iagree: all it takes is a little common sense. if you have a lead foot 100% of the time then thats your problem. the WRX is an awesome car but it doesnt compare to the Supra IMO

On the mods part you're right I think. I drove a FD3S all year round for two years too as well. In snow, in sleet, in rain. Hearing road salt ping off the aluminum body as I went down the road. It sucked. Even without the elements putting wear and tear on a vehicle that's somewhat special, watching the odometer roll up, sitting in a seat that was made for sport rather than comfort day in and day out sucked and overall having to use the car as a DD in all elements detracted from how special it was and made it a pain to drive instead of a joy..

Also if you're gonna buy one and mod it to 800hp or whatever your figure is you're gonna have some downtime with the car, a few days here, a week there. So if you can afford a more reliable beater then you could work it out I suppose. But I wouldn't want to use a flood car that from what you say doesn't always run as my DD/beater either. That's just not reliable.

You can drive any car.

Driving isn't hard
You just can't be as stupid when you driving a 500+hp car.

Supras are already a collectors car I say in the next decade any tt supra would be worth over 75k

If you can find a supra get one, it's already hard to get a single turbo supra try finding a tt supra
You probally have to go to Cali,Florida, Texas to find one

My car right now is definitely not the most reliable car on the road, in fact, it sucks hah. What would you guys suggest I do for looking for insurance, how to go about it, things of that sort. Any suggestions for companies? What would you suggest is an affordable rate?

well i based my opinion on my driving style. personally i like the subies far more than the supras, NOT TRYING TO START AN ARGUMENT!!! keyword is "I" for me they are a ton more practical. if i could afford the supra, chances are i would drive it all the time because i love horses. i drive my dads Zo6 ever chance i get. when i get back in my mazda it just doesn't compare. if i had the choice to get the supra and keep my mazda, i would love it. if i needed a daily driver between my dads Zo6 and my Mazda, the vet has too much power and honestly i saw a supra the other day and almost caused a 5 car pile up at a red light. the Zo6 is just another corvette. as is the subie, but the subie is so much fun to play in. then if something breaks, oh well its a subie. the supra breaks, where do you get parts?
