A catch you regret not keeping?

My brother caught a small lizard fish on my boat while fishing in the back bay (Assowoman?) right between the pillars of the route 90 bridge coming into Ocean City, MD.

We had no idea WTF it was and of corse released it. Awsome tiny monster that we wrote into the "Costal Fisherman" for ID. Damn, that would have made a SWEEET monster fish!

Wow, Ive heard of them getting longer than 12 inches around here, but never seen it; how long was the green?

Wish I had been able to keep this guy and ship him home. Netted him in the Florida Canals. Check out the size of that mouth in comparison to my fingers! I wish I had been able to get him to straighten out a little better, but he wasn't real happy with me.

(And, as everyone loves to poke fun at them, no....Those are not my shoes. )

I really wanted to take home a bluegill, the biggest I had ever caught. If I recall he was atleast ten inches long, but I didn't even have a fish tank back then!

A green sunfish because its rare to catch them from where i am... T.T

Definitely the two foot long rainbow trout i was catching in evergreen, Colorado. Those things weighed 4 pounds and fought for at least 15 minutes. That was a lot of fun.

or a perch i caught in a pond behind my house that must have weighed 10 pounds!
