A chinese dragon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's another 2 weeks, and things changed much for last two weeks. Here are few photos. It's total length is now 12.5". As you can see, the external gills is vanishing rapidly since last update.

Thanks bros.
This one is like winning another lotto. There's no other bichirs of the same grow as big as this one. The smallest one is still 4" long so far.:D:headbang2

:D i suppose it is too! the other people feed theirs feeder fish too, right? do you think the fact that you keep yours by itself helps its growth rate? how big is the tank you have it in?

We who got the hybrid had an agreement to keep it in similar tank size and feed it with feederfishes, so that we can compare the growth rate and the appearance. Therefore, it's obvious that the growth rate of individuals of such hybrid is something about gene varieties. Well, the shortest one is still under 4" now. That you can understand why it's like winning lotto to me.:headbang2:headbang2

i see. indeed winning the lotto! :headbang2

The shrinking rate of external gills is fast now. They are remarkably shorter than last week. Guess 2 or 3 weeks later, there will only tiny roots left.

It looks much wider on this angle than a congicus. In fact, fewer stripes, wider and higher body shape are the few difference of it from normal congicus.
